120708 Door Closing Device


Since it has gotten colder we like to keep the bedroom warmer than the rest of the house. The problem is, every time the dog comes in the room she leaves the door open and the cold rushes in. It was a real pain in the butt to keep getting up (especially at night) to close the door.

Today I had enough. I screwed a string into the door and strung it through eye hooks to a counter weight (you can see going up and down to the right of the door). PERFECT! Door closes EVERY TIME!!
