The Best Friends!

I really enjoy Sundays because that's the day I put together a set of photos, a pictorial story (if you will), to try to relate the amazing events I get to witness with many many great people. So it is with great pleasure I bring you the wedding of Tim and Susan Friend!
I like these images quite a lot. This wedding was intimate and I tried really hard to capture the subtlety.
In between greeting gusts and last minute preparations, we stole Tim away to take some natural light portraits at his piano.
Then we caught up with the beautiful Susan putting on finishing touches.
(available light and 580 off ceiling)
And hid Tim away to take some beautiful portraits of her in the front room!
This wonderful wedding was extra special because I invited one of my dear friends from back in high school, youth portrait photographer, Jane Bettis to join the photographic festivities! It was great catching up and capturing the moments!
Tim and Susan had their ceremony in a place very special to them, their backyard! The arch was tucked away between their garden, the pond, and their pool :)
Plus... the Wedding was on their 10 year anniversary of dating!

Once the ceremony was over and we photographed the couple in their favorite hammock it was on to the reception where Atmospheric Productions provided a really amazing experience! From great music that everyone could enjoy to all the spectacular lighting you see here Atmospheric Production's William and Mary were GREAT! (Lighiting is included in their packages and they brought a photo booth too!) Give them a call!
 Consequently, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
Especially Tim and Susan!
THANK YOU!!!

And thank you Jane!
Thank you Atmospheric Productions!

Nick and Abby!

Three weeks ago the highlight of my week was photographing the beautiful wedding of Nick and Abby!
And what an event it was!
Nick is a regal soft spoken gentleman with a great sense of humor.
These guys kept it light and kept the party going for Nick. We started our portrait session at Mynt on Fountain Square for some fountain side portraits.
And then we met up with one of the most beautiful brides ever, Abby, back at the couple's apartment!
She and her bride's maids were traveling in style on the party bus!
The ceremony was at the beautiful St Rose of Lima on Eastern Avenue in Cincinnati.

 Panorama of the ceremony.

Afterward we spent a little time on the river and headed (via party bus) to the purple people bridge for some really cool images!

 And the party was awesome!
CONGRATULATIONS NICK AND ABBY

Playing in the Hotel!

Here's a fun little image I made at the wedding of our friends Ryan and Michelle back in June. I saw the elevators and I really wanted to try it! So we convinced the Infamous Danny and Tina to test it! 10-22, 6.3, 1/10th of a second. Terri is holding the Quantum Q flash behind Danny and Tina.
Here's a version at 200 mm.

I just thought of this since Terri and I got to talk to this fabulous couple at another awesome wedding last night!

This is Liz!

This beautiful young lady is Liz!
Last weekend we got together for a senior portrait!

She's a charming musician with a sharp intellect!
We hiked around Cincinnati to some of my favorite places for some really diverse and cool images!
Then it was a scenic detour to everyone's favorite Ault Park to take advantage of the amazing light and architecture!

All together, even with the road closures, it was a really great time!
And Liz couldn't be more perfect!
THANK YOU LIZ!!!

Waterfall Shoot with James Hollenberg!

This Monday The PhotoMentorGroup & I got a BIG treat hanging out with my Friend James Hollenberg and Lisa, KT, Angie, and Kyle at Sharon Woods for a waterfall shoot!
A while back James suggested we head to Sharon Woods to scout for new locations, that turned into a rocking waterfall shoot.
Our models were amazing and I just followed James around copying his awesome ideas :)

Seriously, this was a fantastic opportunity for our facebook community to check out an unusual setting for some amazing shots!
We tried out all types of lighting and waterfall settings.
We even took the chance of fish nibbling at our toes for some "in depth" images!

This was a great time learning with some really great people! Thanks James, Angie, KT, Lisa, Kyle, Michael, and Kaitlin, Taylor, and Suzi too!! This rocked!

The amazing KT.

This was one fabulous shoot! Special thanks to James Hollenberg for setting it up and the models of course and Michael Zero for stopping by!
