Lilly's Senior Session at Eden Park!

This beautiful young lady is Lilly!
She is as sweet as can be!
We stopped by Eden park a few weekends ago to create some beautiful senior portraits!
It was a perfect day!
Chelsea filled the roll of puppy handler while Terri and I took awesome images of Lilly
Eden Park was a perfect backdrop with lots of texture!
But every one could tell that as well and we probably crossed paths with 4 or more photo sessions with other photographers!
But we had the best one :)
It was a really fun shoot! Thanks Lilly, Chelsea, and Mom!
And thank you Terri!

CHURCH OF ROCK SHOOT!!!

Most awesome news ever! Just got the images finished from the Church of Rock Shoot!
Super big thanks to Teddy, Craig Weiglein from Mansion Hill Studios, KT, and Holly Angel!
Many of you may remember this awesome church from Foxy Shazam's "I like it!" video (partially safe for work)
This place has been the scene of some serious ROCKING!
So Craig and I made sure not to disappoint the Gods of Rock with our shoot!
To begin with KT was great! She has the best attitude ever!
Plus, the whole building is a dream for photographers!
Everywhere we turned there was a perfect location to try out something new!
(F1.4, 50mm, 1/80th of a second, list with two 580exII -one key and one rim)
For this shoot I exclusively shot with two 580 EXII speedlights on stands and one 19" umbrella.
And this beautiful actress is my cousin, Holly Angel!
Holly has all the right moves and brings her sense of style to even the most rundown of settings!

It was hard not to take a great photo of her!
(F 2.2, 50mm, 30th of a second lit with two 580s)
This place was absolutely a wonderland!
You might remember KT from our waterfall shoot a few months ago.
KY is not only beautiful but brilliant as well. Craig said it best when he said "This is one of the only times I've been on a model shoot where the conversation ended up on Einstein's theory of general relativity."
We really had a blast in the Church of Rock!
After a few hours of nonstop rocking...
Everyone was getting a little tired (and overcome by allergies)!
Overall, outstanding day with great friends!
THANK YOU TEDDY!

Exceeding Expectations with Adam

One of the best parts of my job is when people are surprised by being happy with the experience.
This handsome guy is Adam. His dad pretty much told me "he's not going to want to do this." But by the time we set up the drums in the Fort Ancient Trading Post, Adam was just fine.
I face people being uncomfortable with the portrait process a lot. I told Adam the same thing I tell all the senior guys. "I'll take the stuff that "mom and grandma" like and then we'll take something that's for real awesome."
And Adam was great! We chose historic Lebanon Ohio for the backdrop to our more formal images. With it's rich textures it was perfect.
Some nice clothes and fun lenses...
 Very Cool! Great. Formal over...
'Cause then we headed to one of my favorite places in the world, the Fort Ancient Trading Post for some totally unique portraits!
Poked around some of the more interesting corners of the place for some real flavor...
then got to work setting up the drums!
And everyone is happy! Adam looks awesome either way! Suited up in historic Lebanon or jamming out next to a crumbling warehouse of treasure and a 1953 Buick! Mom and Grandma have handsome images to hang on the wall and Adam has some totally unique art to pass out at school for people to remember him by!

Totally awesome shoot Adam!
THANK YOU!

The Beautiful Wedding of Ashley and Thom!!

This week it is my pleasure to present to you the beautiful wedding of Ashley and Thom!
I knew right from the start that this smart stylish couple would be surrounded by an amazing cast of characters!
Everyone was delightful and really cool!
The ceremony was a contemporary and private affair for a few guests at Tonic on 4th.
After a lovely dinner with friends and family I whisked the beautiful couple off to a few locations in down town Cincinnati for some amazing portraits!

(The amazingly beautiful Ashley!)
Once again I have to thank my lovely wife, Terri, for candid images like these that really capture the moment. She's awesome!
After the adventure we made it back to Tonic for a celebration!
There was cake, and a photobooth,
The flowers were created by the amazing team at Ford-Ellington event design.
And at the end of the night, dad even sat in with the band for a special serenade! This wedding was amazing! Thank you, and congratulations Ashley and Thom! It was an amazing evening!
