Last weekend amid home inspections I was lucky enough to cover a local event on fountain square...
for a fantastic organization called Invisible Kids!
Judge Winkler and Miss Ohio Buckeye Teen were there!
Invisible Kids is an organization that is focused on:
Providing education, support, and encouragement to the insiders: caseworkers, foster parents, CASAs/GALs, biological parents, and other frontline professionals.
Engaging, educating, and empowering the general public to shift the system status quo.
Providing education and information to lawmakers and judicial leaders regarding best practices related to bonding and attachment so they can make laws and decisions in accordance with this scientifically supported fact.
A truly worthy project indeed!
And if that wasn't enough they asked TWIG to play!
How could I pass that up?
Jeff Ruby gave a heartfelt speech about his experience giving foster care to kids...
Holly Schlaak, Founder and Executive at Invisible Kids welcomed and thanked everyone for the support!
Then TWIG jammed for a while!
